ACCA Exams Results out for March 2023 exams. How to handle your results?

Remember that failure or success is a natural part of the exam process. Here are some advice on how to keep moving forward:

Stay Positive: Being down at this point does not help that much. Recover quickly and stay positive for a positive outcome.

Plan your next paper: Choose the next paper to take for June 2023 exams or September 2023 exams. If your marks are between 42 to 49 then June exams is better since you will still retain the knowledge for the paper you have sat recently. You might just have to get into more revision practice or in addition to cover the topics that (you think you know but have no idea).

Preparing the right way: Timetable and commitment is key here. There are 2 types of student as we know, full time and part time.

- Full time students: normally they have the time to fully commit to study since no other heavy commitments. However as a human being they still have social life. Recommended that you at least allocate about a minimum of 6 hours a day for your studies. Study hard and study smart.

- Part time students: Work, family, social life and we can go on. Here the students need to learn how to study SMART (check below). Create a timetable and a set hours to commit. Study to pass and if you can do better that is great.

• Specific: Set specific goals for your ACCA exam preparation. For example, complete certain topics within a weeks time or the whole syllabus by end of the month."

• Measurable: Make your goals measurable so that you can track your progress. If you are attempting progress test or mocks make sure to set a goal like "score 75%". The higher you keep these numbers the better.

• Achievable: Set realistic and achievable goals based on your current capabilities, resources, and time constraints. Avoid setting goals that are too ambitious or unattainable, as they can lead to frustration and disappointment.

• Relevant: Ensure that your goals are relevant to your ACCA exam preparation and aligned with your overall study plan. Avoid setting goals that are not relevant or do not contribute to your exam success.

• Time-bound: Set deadlines for your goals to create a sense of urgency and accountability. This will help you stay focused and organised in your exam preparation.
